saving the best for whenever

Friday, January 28th, 2011

Aside from all the lovely diaries and other bits and bobs we get from people  in the new year I just wanted to showcase this fine piece that was sent to me by the lovely people at Zanders.

The chromolux “IDEAS PRESERVER’ is a handy little book meant for people like me who come up with lots and lots of (well maybe not lots but a few) good ideas that we don’t want to lose . It’s not only a rather useful little pad but is clever and rather agreeable to look at too!

Split into sections, I will now have to think about which ideas I class as revolutionary, profitable, epic, green, enlightening or merely just little. And with it’s handy little tagging system I will always be sure to find exactly what I’m looking for.

I like this a lot.

It also shows off all the finishing and printing qualities of the paper off to a t.

It was done by the good people of zinnobrergruen, a german agency, who, by the looks of it (although couldn’t understand a word as I don’t speak german) do some lovely design and a lot of work for Zanders. Lucky peeps – we’d love to get our hands on a job like that. So if you’re from Zanders and reading this think about us next time you want something done – we are now full to the brim with preserved ideas courtesy of your nice selves.

A while back we posted pictures of our inspiration wall on here and made big promises of keeping up to date with the progress of said wall. Well, true to our word, here is the latest picture of the wall complete with lots more lovely inpirational items – enjoy.

blasts from the past

New year new ads, or so you would think. So imagine my surprise when I was watching ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’ the other evening and the old Halls soothers ad popped up after an eight year break. No new wording, no new flavour message, just the same woman riding that same elevator (again). They obviously like it over at cadbury. Nice (and nostalgic) to see it out of retirement though.

So here is my list of other ads I’d like to see dusted off and aired again – it’ll take you back.

Accrington Stanley milk ad
Blackcurrant Tango ad

Aero ad
Yellow pages ‘Think I need a cleaner ad’

Marmite soldier ad
‘Off to see my mate’ John Smiths ad
Prudential ‘together’ ad
Oxo family

Advertising for Guoman Hotels

Friday, January 21st, 2011

Stylish, unique, iconic. No not our designer John’s latest pair of overpriced shoes, but top international hotel chain Guoman Hotels – who also happen to be the latest mega-profile client to have invited us to lend them our creative craftiness.

They’ve just told us they’d like Together to deliver a major outdoor and in-press advertising campaign for four of their top London venues.

And as soon as the first lick of glue is slapped on the billboards we’ll be sure to post up the final ads and posters right here.

Creating a brand for Uniq Foods

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Some unkind individuals may suggest that it’s our love of puddings that persuaded Uniq Foods to ask us to create a brand identity for their range of premium desserts to be sold in Marks and Spencer.

And while it’s true that we are fond of the occasional jam roly poly, we like to think that Uniq chose us because of our super sharp creative minds and cutting edge brand awareness.

Either way, we spent a rather tasty day locked away with our friends at Uniq and, at the end of it, came up with a sparkling new brand for their desserts.

Keep your eyes peeled on these very pages for the grand unveiling…now, somebody pass the custard.
